Trial Romania

The Romanian trial addresses the potential security advantages of decentralized energy systems with rapid response and locally observable systems.

The scenario uses two electrical distribution networks with distributed energy resources (DER) including photovoltaic power plants (PPP), wind power plants (WPP), and small hydro power plants (SHPP) located in two sites. The networks are monitored by low-cost Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) functionality and by the smart meters embedded in NORM.
